My Journey to Santiago de Compostela Part XXXI

We started our journey around 7:30 am when it was still dark.  We wanted to go early so we could beat the crowd and arrive early at Arzua.  Around 10:00, I stopped at the “Happiness on the Camino” Kiosk, which is owned by Kelli y Jeff, a couple from the USA who decided to move to Spain and enjoy life while providing happiness to pilgrims.  Their place is famous for the smoothies and the waffles.  I just had a smoothie and enjoyed every drop of it!  Here is a link to their website: https://the-happiness-cafe.com/2022/02/09/welcome-to-the-happiness-cafe-on-the-camino-frances/

Leaving Palas do Rei before dawn
I made a stop for a selfie at kilometer 51 of Camino Frances – I was born in 1951…

Then we hit kilometer 50 and went on to celebrate with my flask of Jameson Irish Whiskey.
Right before we arrived at Arzua, I stopped to dip my feet in a stream and the water was deliciously cold!
